Metronomy - "Pip Paine (Pay Back The £5000 You Owe)"

Mmm, fuzzy electronica. Metronomy (Joseph Mount) meshes the perfect amount of beeps, boops, and distortion on Pip Paine, resulting in an album that's pure robot dance music. Upbeat to a fault almost, Pip Paine is catchy in a way that so many electronic albums aren't, but doesn't sacrifice its subtle layers of noise for a hook. One moment it's a heavy metallic breathing that hisses through the speakers, immediately followed by gentle digital raindrops that calm the moment down.

Definitely take a listen if you're into catchy rhythms, it's not a drum heavy album so D'n'B fans may want to look elsewhere. But this is something akin to soundtrack music, just with more personality.
